GRC or GRP: which planter material is right for you?

Concrete or resin? Heavy and steady, or light and easy to move? A simple guide to choosing between our two materials.

GRC or GRP: which planter material is right for you?

Every Green & Grey pot comes in one of two materials. Both are reinforced with glass fibre, both are strong, and both are made for life outdoors. The right one simply depends on where your pot will live.

GRC

Glass-reinforced concrete

  • Natural, stony character
  • Heavy and very stable
  • Great for gardens, pools and entrances
  • The only choice for Glazed and Terrazzo

GRP

Glass-reinforced plastic

  • Lightweight and easy to move
  • Ideal for roofs, balconies and upper floors
  • Handles temperature changes very well
  • Perfect for indoor spaces

Choose GRC if…

  • You love the look and feel of real concrete.
  • The pot will stand on the ground, by a pool or at an entrance.
  • You're planting something tall in a windy spot and want it to stay put.
  • You've fallen for a Glazed or Terrazzo finish.

Choose GRP if…

  • It's going on a roof terrace, balcony or anywhere weight matters.
  • You like to rearrange and may want to move it later.
  • It's for an office, lobby or living room.
Our tip

Big pot, high floor? Go GRP. Big pot, windy garden? Go GRC.
